From unranked and picked to finish fourth in the Big 12 to an Elite Eight appearance, the Horned Frogs finish the season ranked No. 6

TCU women’s basketball historic season came to an end in the Elite Eight as the Horned Frogs were defeated 58-47 by Texas on Monday night at Legacy Arena. It was the first loss for TCU since Feb. 5 and the Horned Frogs finished the best season in program history 34-4, one game short of the program’s first Final Four appearance.

The women's college basketball transfer portal opened one week later than it did last year, but that hasn't curtailed the activity. Since it opened March 24, more than 1,200 players have entered. Just over 100 have already committed to new schools,
