UNC Football Staff Secures Menacing Edge Rusher in Canada
Vanier College (Quebec) defensive end Emmanuel Nwaiwu landed an offer from Bill Belichick and his UNC football cohorts earlier this week before revealing his pledge by inking his financial agreement with the Tar Heels as part of Wednesday's National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound lineman from Montreal (Quebec) Vanier College had six offers and took three visits in his recruitment including Boise State and most recently Michigan State. But he received an offer from UNC on Sunday following his visit with the Spartans and that apparently sealed the deal as he never visited Chapel Hill.

Three-star athlete Madrid Tucker pledged his verbal commitment to North Carolina on Wednesday, picking the Tar Heels at a ceremony at his high school. He chose UNC over offers from West Virginia, USF and UCF as well as baseball offers from programs in the ACC and SEC in his recruitment.
