A man wanted after police said he brutally beat another man at the VFW in Aliquippa last month has been arrested.

ALIQUIPPA ― Members of the U.S. Marshals Service have arrested a man who was charged with attempted homicide after an assault at a city veterans social club last month. Police officers from several state and local agencies arrested 39-year-old Brett Ours on Feb.

WEST ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Aliquippa Police along with the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshalls, PA State Police and the PA Attorney General’s office arrested a fugitive wanted for brutally attacking a man at a local VFW. After weeks of searching, police finally found the main suspect, Brett Ours.

Preston Coleman, who turned 53 on Saturday, isn't celebrating with his family. He is currently hospitalized after a brutal attack at the Aliquippa VFW in January. The community gathered at the Hopewell VFW — the Aliquippa VFW has been closed since the attack — on Saturday to raise funds for his recovery and support his family.

An Aliquippa man accused of nearly beating of a fellow city resident to death inside a Veterans of Foreign Wars lodge was apprehended Thursday. Brett Ours, 39, was taken into custody without incident at a home along the 400 block of Allegheny Avenue in West Aliquippa.
