Germany’ continues to enchant viewers with its unique take on modern relationships and proves that love can thrive in the absence of physical appearances. In the first season, contestants courageously opened their hearts in the iconic pods and formed deep emotional connections before ever laying eyes on each other.

Season seven of the Netflix dating show "Love Is Blind" featured singles from the Washington DC area who were trying to find love. But season eight will focus more on the heart — well, the heartland.

All the drama kicked off in the most recent batch of episodes which were released on 10th January. Hanni and Ilias, who are engaged to Daniel and Alina respectively, brought chaos onto the show when they snuck off for a private chat during a party for all the engaged couples.

After Love Is Blind's cameras stop rolling, the drama doesn't end for its cast members. Instead, there often seem to be major developments in the time since the show has wrapped. This is certainly the case for the Season 1 cast of the reality TV show's German spin-off.

It is not the end for Love Is Blind. As the show continues to prove that love can work without seeing people first, Netflix has decided that more seasons are in order. It’s hard to believe that Love Is Blind debuted five years ago.
