An early-morning 3.1-magnitude earthquake woke parts of Southern California, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The about 7-mile deep quake hit about 6 miles south from Banning in Riverside County at 6:21 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, according to the USGS.
