A man who faces charges in the wake of his father’s alleged attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life appeared in court earlier this week. Oran Routh, 35, was in federal court on Tuesday for a detention hearing after he was arrested near the end of September.

The son of would-be Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh is set to appear in a North Carolina court later Tuesday on child pornography charges. Oran Routh, 35, is scheduled for a detention hearing in federal court where prosecutors will likely argue Oran should remain behind bars until his trial for allegedly having hundreds of sick child abuse images on his phones.
