Coastal Carolina baseball is World Series-bound. After a thrilling extra-inning victory in game one of the Auburn Super Regional, CCU took on the Auburn Tigers again for game two Saturday afternoon. Auburn held a 1-0 lead until the seventh inning when Coastal Carolina broke through for three runs. Sebastian Alexander hit a leadoff double and was moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Blake Barthol. Walker Mitchell followed up with an RBI single to tie the score at 1-1.

It seemed a single frame sealed Auburn baseball's defeat to Coastal Carolina in super regional play Saturday, but the issues went much deeper.
