Pac-12 building college basketball profile with addition of Gonzaga
The Pac-12 is staging a rebuild after losing 10 members ahead of the 2024 season, as Oregon, Washington, UCLA and USC went to the Big Ten; Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado headed to the Big 12; and Stanford and California joined up with the ACC.
Basketball powerhouse Gonzaga to join Pac-12 for 2026 season
The Pac-12 is adding Gonzaga as a member in all sports the school plays starting in July 2026, the conference announced Tuesday. Gonzaga brings a rich basketball tradition to the refurbished Pac-12, as the Zags have reached the round of 16 of the men's NCAA tournament nine consecutive times.

The Pac-12 is rebuilding, and perhaps the biggest addition (thus far) came on Tuesday when the "Conference of Champions" plucked Gonzaga away from the WCC. Gonzaga will join Mountain West programs Utah State, Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State and Fresno State in the new-look conference on July 1, 2026.
