President Donald Trump announced Monday night that he was yanking Hunter Biden’s Secret Service protection following reports that former President Joe Biden’s adult son had an 18-member detail while vacationing in South Africa. Trump also decided to yank the detail protecting Ashley Biden, the former president’s adult daughter.

The president posted on social media that Hunter Biden would lose his security detail “effective immediately” and also identified the country he was vacationing in.

The president has recently made baseless claims that Joe Biden routinely used an autopen and that his unelected aides used the executive power of the presidency without his knowledge.

A report by a hard-right group alleges Biden signed several last-minute pardons using an automated device, leading Trump to claim they are “void.”
