Evacuations are in effect for the California State University, Channel Islands campus after a wildfire sparked Thursday morning in Southern California.

Authorities reported Thursday morning that crews were "aggressively attacking" a brush fire named Laguna that was engulfing the hills behind the CSU Channel Islands campus near Camarillo.
