Bronny James will accomplish a new career milestone in the Los Angeles Lakers' season finale on Sunday. With the team resting its regular starters like LeBron James, Luka Dončić and others, head coach J.J. Redick gave the rookie the starting nod for the first time in his career.

The Los Angeles Lakers clinched the No. 3 seed on Saturday night with a win over the Houston Rockets, which led to them resting most of their key players on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers in the team’s regular season finale.

With the playoffs on the horizon the Lakers elected to sit several veteran players, which paved the way for a spot for Bronny James in the starting five.
