Apple has issued a patch for macOS following the exposure of two critical zero-day vulnerabilities found in the software. The macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 update looks to mitigate a vulnerability in JavaScriptCore that would allow attackers to create malicious web content that could result in arbitrary code execution.

In a security advisory on its website, Apple said it was aware of two vulnerabilities that “may have been actively exploited on Intel-based Mac systems.” The bugs are considered “zero day” vulnerabilities because they were unknown to Apple at the time they were exploited.

Apple has rushed out emergency patches for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac that squash a couple of serious security bugs. The two zero-day vulnerabilities may have already compromised Intel-based Macs in the wild, but the updates are designed for iPhones and iPads as well.
