Baseball's top prospect Roman Anthony made his MLB debut Monday night at Fenway Park after the Boston Red Sox called him up from Triple A Worcester. The 21-year-old outfielder batted fifth for Boston and started in right field mere hours after his big league call-up in the opener of a three-game weekday series with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Boston Red Sox are promoting outfielder Roman Anthony to the majors, according to MassLive. Anthony is expected to be in the starting lineup batting fifth as Wilyer Abreu lands on the injured list,

Boston fans, understandably, have been clamoring for Anthony to get the call to the big leagues. The Red Sox haven't exactly been hurting for offense, ranking fourth in MLB in runs (330) and sixth in team batting average (.255), OPS (.753) and home runs (83).
