New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton has been activated off the injured list and will make his season debut on Monday night against the Los Angeles Angels, the team announced. In a corresponding move, Pablo Reyes was designated for assignment.

Stanton, who missed the first 70 games of the season and all of spring training with tendon tears in both elbows, will make his long-awaited season debut Monday night, batting fifth as the designated hitter in the opener of the Yankees’ four-game series against the Angels at the Stadium.
