Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame team faces Ohio State in the CFP National Championship, seeking redemption on the biggest stage.

Freeman, 39, would fit the Bears’ need for a culture-changer. He has at least a cursory knowledge of the franchise, too. After playing linebacker at Ohio State, he was picked by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2009 draft but was cut before the start of the regular season.
