Vishwash Kumar Ramesh claims he escaped almost certain death after jumping off the passenger plane as it burst into flames in the Indian city of Ahmedabad.

Indian authorities are yet to detail the cause of the disaster and have ordered inspections of Air India's Dreamliners.

Officials have also been trying to establish how many people were killed on the ground and have been continuing the slow process of matching DNA samples to confirm the victims' identities.
