A woman has died after a shooting in Springfield Township, police said. Officers responded to a report of a woman shot in the head at a residence in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue shortly after 7 a.m. Monday. Police have an area of a housing complex on Lincoln Avenue blocked off with tape as they investigate Monday morning.

Around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Russell Street and found a 42-year-old woman who suffered an apparent gunshot wound, Barrington police said.

Police in Barrington said they were called to the area of Russell and Lageschulte at about because someone had been shot. Officers discovered a woman, 42, with a gunshot wound near the Arbors apartments.
