Atlanta rap star Young Thug was released from jail Thursday night after changing his plea to guilty earlier that day in Georgia’s longest-running criminal trial.

Known as Georgia’s longest-running criminal trial in the state’s history, Young Thug’s racketeering case made headlines after the prosecution pushed for a decades-long sentence.

Young Thug is free (albeit under intense restrictions and a whopping 15 years of probation) after striking a plea deal in his long-running RICO case on Halloween. Four and a half days later, he has showed up in a video with fellow Atlanta rap star T.

It’s fitting that T.I. was the first rapper Thug reconnected with fresh out of jail, as it was Thug’s appearance on Tip’s 2014 single “About The Money” that helped raise his profile and ensured his record deal with 300 Entertainment.
