Manchester City are closing in on the signing of defender Abdukodir Khusanov after reaching an agreement with RC Lens, sources have told ESPN.

Manchester City have agreed a 40m euros (£33.6m) deal with Lens for central defender Abdukodir Khusanov. Sources with knowledge of the deal say there are additional bonus payments attached to the sale, with the player due to undergo a medical before the transfer is officially confirmed.

Manchester City officials have finalised and concluded an agreement with Lens over the signing of 20-year-old centre-back, Abdukodir Khusanov.

Foot Mercato says City are now very close to an agreement with Lens. The English giants have offered €50m for Khusanov, an offer that Lens are expected to accept. At the same time, the parties have already agreed on personal terms, while Khusanov is pushing for the transfer to happen.

Manchester City have agreed a £33.6 million fee with Lens for Abdukodir Khusanov to bolster Pep Guardiola’s squad for the second half of the season.

Now, multiple reports, including one from journalist Fabrizio Romano, claim that Lens have accepted Man City's bid of €40m (£33.5m) plus add-ons for Khusanov. A full agreement between all parties has been reached and Lens are also said to have approved medical tests for the defender which will take place in the 'next days'.
