The Buffalo Sabres’ four-game road trip now takes them to Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome for a Thursday night matchup with the Flames. On Tuesday, the Sabres rode their top line to a 3-2 comeback victory in Vancouver, their third win of the season when trailing after two periods.

He was named to the AHL All-Star Game. At that level, the 23-year-old has looked the part as one of hockey’s most promising goalie prospects.
The Amerks are second in the Eastern Conference with a 23-11-4 record. They won 11 of 12 games from Dec. 7 through Jan. 1, including a seven-game win streak, and their goal differential is plus-25.

BOTTOM LINE: The Calgary Flames face the Buffalo Sabres in a non-conference matchup. Calgary has a 22-16-7 record overall and a 14-6-3 record in home games. The Flames are 5-12-2 in games their opponents commit fewer penalties.
