The Genesis Invitational, a golf tournament organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation, will move locations this year amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, the PGA Tour announced Thursday.

The tournament, which Woods hosts and whose foundation is the beneficiary, is played in Pacific Palisades, the site of the largest of the Los Angeles fires.

The PGA Tour said it would soon announce a new venue for the Los Angeles-area tournament, which has been staged almost exclusively at Riviera since 1973.

The PGA Tour announced on Thursday that the Genesis Invitational, Feb. 13-16 at the Riviera Country Club, will be moved because of the L.A. wildfires.

The Genesis Invitational is far from the only sporting event impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. The NBA's Lakers and Clippers and NHL's Kings have had games postponed. Monday night's Wild Card Weekend matchup between the LA Rams and Minnesota Vikings was moved to Arizona as well.
