Dozens of journalists in Belarus have been imprisoned in recent years under a crackdown by authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Volgograd at the forum dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory.
