BBC Weather team has sparked excitement by confirming a mini-heatwave - bringing 27C temperatures - is "on the way".

Areas around Birmingham and Manchester are likely to see high temperatures of around 26C and 27C respectively.

BBC forecasting team says temperatures will climb widely to 22-23C and it will feel very pleasant in the sunshine.
