Officials say the iconic red canoe at Canoe Landing Park in downtown Toronto has been destroyed by an overnight fire.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police. An image from Canoe Landing Park on Wednesday shows the canoe appears to have burned down entirely, leaving only its frame behind.
