Defending U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau will not see the weekend at Oakmont, but several of his LIV Golf comrades will.

OAKMONT, Pa.— “I'm as happy now in my life as I've ever been,” Marc Leishman was saying Wednesday on the eve of his first major championship appearance in nearly three years. “I'm happy with the decision I've made and happy to be back here in the U.S. Open, and I’m just in a really good place right now.”

A pair of former champions that represent LIV Golf will soon be officially eliminated from weekend play at Oakmont Country Club.

LIV Golf will have 14 players competing at the U.S. Open this weekend, including defending champion Bryson DeChambeau; here's who else qualified.

U.S. Open Golf Championship will continue on Friday with the second round at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Of those playing in the U.S. Open who compete for LIV Golf, four of them are past champions, including Bryson DeChambeau, who won his second U.S. Open title last summer at Pinehurst No. 2. Dustin Johnson captured the U.S. Open title the last time the championship was contested at Oakmont in 2016.
