It’s transfer portal season. With Notre Dame concluding spring practices concurrently with the opening of the spring portal window, there are bound to be some Fighting Irish players who decide it’s in their best interest to seek situations more suitable for a prosperous future at other universities.

Notre Dame has been a running back factory in recent years, landing quality back after quality back and then graduating those studs into the NFL like clockwork.

Notre Dame went through a significant quarterback battle this spring and it appears that redshirt freshman CJ Carr and redshirt sophomore Kenny Minchey will be the final two players in that battle. Senior Steve Angeli will enter the transfer portal after a spring that saw him get outplayed by Carr and Minchey.
