The most recent discovery was made at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, when officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to calls about an unresponsive person — an adult woman — found near the 1500 block of Hall of Fame Avenue, Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh said, Boston 25 reports.

Seven sets of human remains, mostly of women, have been found across multiple states in the New England region of the United States. The first, identified as 35-year-old Paige Fannon, was discovered on March 6.

Fears are mounting that there is a serial killer on the loose in New England, after bodies were found in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
