Some students at a metro middle school are finishing up a steam project to help kids with special needs. The project involves rewiring toys so those who struggle with fine motor skills can use them.

Lego STEAM projects, robot coding and a community mural project are all on the calendar at Heartland Lakes Community School.

At Red Cross Elementary students and faculty gathered in the lobby on Monday morning to receive a $1500 grant that will go toward the school’s various steam projects throughout the year.
