AHMEDABAD: The process to identify victims of the June 12 AI-171 air crash picked up pace on Monday as officials said DNA samples of 119 of them have been successfully matched. At least 270 people perished in the aircrash.

At least 92 people who died in the Air India Ahmedabad-London plane crash have been identified through DNA testing, while authorities handed over the bodies of 47 victims to their families.

Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 carrying 242 people, crashed after taking off from Ahmedabad on its way to London.
