Bruins fans let their frustrations known when they booed the team off the ice after their latest embarrassing loss.

Danforth extended it to 4-1 at 7:19 of the third period. Bruins defenseman Mason Lohrei mishandled a pass at the blue line, which Cole Sillinger picked up and took the other way before centering it to Danforth for a tap-in at the right post off a short-handed 2-on-1 rush.

Before the Boston Bruins' matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Original Six club recalled gritty forward Jeffrey Viel. When the Bruins called up Viel, the expectation was that he would provide the club with more toughness. He certainly showed that off against the Blue Jackets, as he dropped the gloves with enforcer Mathieu Olivier.
