John Anker, selected to Columbus Council last week in a 6-3 vote, has officially assumed his duties as a city-wide councilor.
The Columbus branch of the NAACP called for Mayor Skip Henderson to support an investigation into whether councilors violated Georgia law in the process of appointing John Anker to the council.
