“Superman” filmmaker and DC Studios co-chief James Gunn sat down with reporters last week to offer status updates on all things DC alongside his co-chief Peter Safran, and one golden rule emerged: They’re not rushing into anything.

James Gunn recently gave a group of reporters a status update on the DCU at a DC Studios presentation. Among many other tidbits revealed, we learned that Gunn is already hard at work scripting the next DCU movie he’ll direct after Superman. He’s certainly keeping very busy these days.

Batman films "The Brave and the Bold" and "Clayface" are chugging along, while "Waller," "The Authority," and "Swamp Thing" need more time.

Robert Pattinson is most likely not going to have a role in the DCU, but never say never. DC Studios boss James Gunn said that it was "very unlikely" (via Variety) and "certainly not the plan" (via Collider) that Robert Pattinson would play Batman in upcoming The Brave and the Bold.

It’s official! Robert Pattinson’s Batman is not a part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU plans. As per reports, Pattinson will not be playing the Caped Crusader for The Brave and the Bold which is an upcoming DC Studios film set in James Gunn's completely new DCU continuity.
