A rabbi says Josh Shapiro holds moderate views of the Israel-Gaza war that are in line with where the majority of American Jews stand on the topic.

Members of the Jewish community in Pittsburgh said they believe the attack on Gov. Shapiro’s home on the first day of Passover Sunday was an act of a hate crime, despite officials not applying a specific charge against the suspect.

The Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg was targeted Sunday in an arson attack — hours after the family of Josh Shapiro celebrated Passover. And while there has been little evidence about the suspect’s motivation,
