Mark Lazarus, the prospective Chief Executive Officer of "SpinCo," Comcast’s planned spin-off of select cable television networks, today announced additional appointments to the future senior leadership team of SpinCo.

Val Boreland will become president of entertainment at the new venture, comprised of most of the company's cable channels.

Appointments to the SpinCo leadership team include seven individuals who will take roles at an independent publicly traded media company comprised of USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel.

The spin-off of the cable TV network portfolio, which will be completed later this year, will be led by Mark Lazarus and Anand Kini

The executive ranks of the cable network entity being spun off from Comcast/NBCUniversal later this year have been filled in with a handful of appointments, including Val Boreland as head of entertainment.

Val Boreland, an executive who has specialized in acquiring content for the various cable networks owned by NBCUniversal, will lead the entertainment operations of those outlets whey they are spun off from the company later this year.
