Two of those teams, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies, faced off on Thursday, and thanks to a 44-point outburst from Anthony Edwards, Minnesota proved victorious, 141-125. That win was enormous for Minnesota, of course, but it has major ramifications all across the standings.

With two games left on all 30 teams’ schedules, every win and loss matters a little more around this time of the year. This is very true in the Western Conference standings, as one game separates teams in the playoff picture from those in the play-in region.

With the Grizzlies' loss, the Warriors bumped back into the No. 6 seed in the West. The Warriors, Grizzlies and Timberwolves are all tied for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference with a 47-33 record. Yet, the Warriors currently hold crucial tiebreakers over the Grizzlies and Timberwolves.
