The Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly interested in acquiring Buffalo Sabres centre Dylan Cozens, a player that GM Brad Treliving should absolutely be aggressively pursuing.

"The immediate notion for a Sabres package for Pettersson has to include Dylan Cozens because Vancouver would need a center in return," Harrington wrote. "Trading Bowen Byram, a British Columbia native who played junior hockey for the Vancouver Giants, would be more troublesome."

According to insider Kevin Weekes, four teams are quite invested in attempting to acquire Cozens, including three clubs in Canada. Weekes lists the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames and Detroit Red Wings as potential landing spots for Cozens if one of them can make the right offer.

The Sabres could be sellers at the trade deadline, and young forward Dylan Cozens is generating plenty of interest.
