In a new teaser dropped Tuesday (January 7), the streamer announced that its popular adaptation of the post-apocalyptic PlayStation video game would be premiering this April. The trailer gives a first look at Abby, a pivotal character and the main antagonist from the video game sequel The Last of Us: Part II, on which season two is based.

In this one, not only do we get to see our favorite post-apocalyptic duo, Joel and Ellie (Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey), back in action, but we also learned that the new season is set to premiere on Max this April — with the exact date to come.

We now know when 'The Last of Us' will return for season two. The series will return in April, with a specific premiere date to be announced at a later date. Co-creator, writer and executive producer Neil Druckmann announced the news during Sony's press conference at CES on Monday.
