Weather could get dicey as afternoon storms possible arrive in San Antonio. Thunderstorms are beginning to flare up near the Alamo City, according to National Weather Service radar. In a recent forecast report, NWS says isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Saturday, June 14 especially during daytime heating.

Parts of Jefferson, Jasper, Hardin and Orange counties are under a flash flood warning. The warning was issued at 12:23 p.m. Friday and is expected to last until 3:30 p.m., the Southeast Texas Alerting Network said.

Forecasters say the greatest threats with these storms are damaging winds with gusts up to 70 miles per hour and large hail up to 2 inches. However, they say an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. There is also the possibility of flooding with rainfall amounts around half an inch to 3 inches.
