Weather could get dicey as afternoon storms possible arrive in San Antonio. Thunderstorms are beginning to flare up near the Alamo City, according to National Weather Service radar. In a recent forecast report, NWS says isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Saturday, June 14 especially during daytime heating.
Dozens of roads and low water crossings are closed after heavy rain brought flooding conditions to the San Antonio area. Showers and storms swept through South Texas Thursday morning, bringing damaging wind gusts and hail to the area.
San Antonio's forecast suggests scattered showers and a heatwave, with chances of thunderstorms and highs near 93-95 degrees.
Residents across Central Texas are left with with damaged property after the area experienced record-breaking rain, dangerous winds and a short-lived tornado on Thursday, June 12. Several towns, many of which are in the San Antonio metropolitan area, are also experiencing flash flooding, resulting in a number of road and river closures.

Beaumont Enterprise on MSNFlash flood warning issued for parts of Southeast TexasParts of Jefferson, Jasper, Hardin and Orange counties are under a flash flood warning. The warning was issued at 12:23 p.m. Friday and is expected to last until 3:30 p.m., the Southeast Texas Alerting Network said.
Forecasters say the greatest threats with these storms are damaging winds with gusts up to 70 miles per hour and large hail up to 2 inches. However, they say an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. There is also the possibility of flooding with rainfall amounts around half an inch to 3 inches.
