Saquon Barkley has been named NFL Offensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press in voting by a panel of 50 media members. The results were announced Thursday night as part of NFL Honors at the Saenger Theater,

Barkley spent the first six seasons of his professional career with the Giants but was unable to come to an agreement on a long-term contract. He negotiated for two years with general manager Joe Schoen but in the end, the Giants GM let him walk over roughly $2 million.
