The reptiles, an endangered species, were incapacitated when the water temperature plummeted after a rare winter storm hit the Panhandle last week.

"Recognizing the escalating need spurred by the recent snowstorm and days of freezing temperatures, FPL decided to step up and donate an additional $10,000 to help them get the van before sea turtle nesting season starts on May 1," said FPL.
