Brave New World to be a palate cleanser — one that remembers and builds on the events of Marvel’s other recent features. The film does a serviceable job of establishing a new status quo, but it struggles to articulate how this Captain America is different from his predecessor.

With Sam (Anthony Mackie) starring down the Red Hulk (Harrison Ford), the Washington D.C. city streets are in shambles. Red Hulk charges at Sam to deliver a final blow, but Sam uses his vibranium wing to elicit a blast on Red Hulk. This causes the two figures to fly in opposite directions and become burried in rubble.
