An Israeli drone strike hit a neighbourhood in central Beirut on Monday, a Lebanese security source said, the second day in a row that a target within the Lebanese capital has been struck as Israel presses its campaign against the Iran-backed Hezbollah.

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said two missiles hit the area of Beirut's Zoqaq al-Blat neighborhood.

Lebanese armed group Hezbollah confirmed its media relations chief Mohammad Afif was killed by an Israeli strike.
