President Donald Trump’s administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow enforcement of a ban on transgender people in the military, while legal challenges proceed.

Despite representing less than 1 percent of the active-duty force, thousands of transgender people serve in the U.S. military.

The administration has been finding every excuse it can to defy the judiciary and run out the clock. This may be a sign that its time is running out.
