High school football teams in West Virginia will face off in the postseason using a new points system that withstood legal scrutiny.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - With injunctions against West Virginia’s governing body for high school athletics being vacated, official pairings have been set for first round playoff matchups in class A, AA, and AAAA. Here is where teams in our viewing area will be playing in their first round matchups.

The Supreme Court of Appeals announced that they will allow the WVSSAC to start playing football championships according to its rules and authority. This means high school playoffs will continue under the same rules that were in place when the season started.
