Michelle Obama has been urged by Kid Rock to change her mind about not attending Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.

“President Trump’s invitation for dinner included bringing a couple of friends. Asked why I invited Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, I joked, ‘Because Jesus was booked,’” Palin wrote in a post on her website after the visit, per The New York Times.

For a half-decade, Kid Rock's hype man was 3-foot, 9-inch Joe C, real name: Joseph Calleja. He appears on the title track to the singer's Devil Without a Cause album and was a highlight of Rock's live shows. Sadly, he died at age 26 in November 2000 after a lifelong battle with celiac disease.

Kid Rock announced a limited-run arena tour, and Louisville is on the list of stops. The rock star will be performing at the KFC Yum! Center on March 28. Alongside Kid Rock at the Louisville show will be country music singer Chris Janson.
