The Alabama Crimson Tide dropped a SEC series at home to Mississippi State this past weekend, falling in two-of-three games.

STARKVILLE - Mississippi State (22-14) will take on Southern (15-19) this evening at Dudy Noble Field. The Bulldogs have won six of their last eight including the weekend series over Alabama.

Mississippi State baseball starting third baseman Ace Reese did not play against Southern because of a foot injury.
