The Federal Aviation Administration has announced that the New York City tour operator of a helicopter that crashed last week in the Hudson River, killing all six on board, has immediately shut down operations.

New York Helicopter Tours, the company whose sightseeing helicopter crashed into the Hudson River last week, killing all six people on board, has shut down its operations, the Federal Aviation Administration announced on Sunday night. In a post on X, the FAA said New York Helicopter Tours “is shutting down their operations immediately.”

The FAA said Sunday that it would launch an immediate review of New York Helicopter Tours’ operating license and safety record.
