Harvard University is the latest in a growing list of higher education institutions that had its federal funding targeted by the government in order to comply with the Trump administration's political agenda.

The U.S. Department of Education on Monday froze more than $2 billion in federal funding for Harvard University, just hours after the school rejected President Donald Trump's demands that it make deep policy changes on diversity.

Harvard University said it will not accept an agreement proposed by the Trump administration for continued federal funding.
