The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $54 million, with a cash option of $25.7 million. The winning numbers were: 10, 16, 50, 60 and 61. The Mega Ball was 17.

Fewer people are buying Mega Millions tickets in Massachusetts after new changes to the game took effect, but it's now bringing in a lot more cash for the Lottery. Until Saturday, a Mega Millions ticket cost $2.

Mega Millions players will get slightly better odds and should start seeing more billion-dollar jackpots, but at a cost — literally — with tickets for the multistate lottery more than doubling in price from $2 to $5.
