SpaceX crews are preparing to launch a Falcon 9 rocket Tuesday from Florida’s Space Coast. The launch is set for 1:53 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The launch is aiming to send another batch of Starlink satellites into orbit.

These missions require Firefly to keep a rocket on standby and launch within 24 hours of notice from Space Force.

Firefly Aerospace, Inc., the leader in responsive space launch services, today announced the company was awarded a $21.81 million contract to launch the U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command’s (SSC) VICTUS SOL Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) mission.

The company will keep a rocket and vehicle on standby so Space Force can order launches for more quick responses.
